AC15 Summer Series Match Racing Day 5

Sunday June 3 we held Day 5 of the Summer Series AC15 Match Racing, Seaview Marina was the venue. The forecast for the event was not the best–showers and with a south to south east wind. The shower arrived in the morning, very briefly, but it stayed fine for the event. For those of you that know the Marina, you will be aware that the Marina does NOT get a south east wind. It is debatable whether we should have sailed.
What breeze we encountered was from 00 knots to maybe 2 knots. Not only did it change velocity it changed direction, made it very trying and tiring. All skippers had minor boat problems to deal with. We started about 15 minutes late¬† but didn’t finish ’til just before 5.00PM a very long afternoon.
Great to see David’s and Ed’s scores creeping up. And Darrell has almost lost his series lead to Ron.
One more event to go in this series –may the best skipper win.
