IOM Fleet Racing Winter Series Day 3

‘The event staged on Sunday 10 September was IOM Fleet Racing Winter Series, Day 3.   Seven boats checked in, so we almost had a full muster for the event. It was great to see Les on the water, and us ‘old hands’ were pleasantly surprised at how well he sailed.  The weather was  a real spring day with an unpredictable northerly, and quite warm. The gusts, when we arrived, were definitely ‘B’  and the lulls were ‘A’ rig. Rod and Ed went the ‘A’ rig way and the rest stayed put with the B’ rig. The competition was really great  with those on ‘B’ rigs giving those on ‘A’ rigs a run for their money. Ed won the day with 7 straight wins, Well done Ed. The second place went to Rod and Mike, well done.’
