AC15 Match Racing Day 4 Winter Series Results

Sunday September 10 we staged Day 4 of the Winter Series AC15 Match Racing at Seaview Marina. We were greeted with little or no wind to speak of, with a promise of ‘showers’!!! We initially had a problem sorting out which direction ‘draft’ was coming from. Seemed to be everywhere. During the set up time several of us spotted 2 AC15’s running ‘close hauled’ heading on opposite directions??? How often would one see that!!!! And it ‘showered’ all afternoon–not heavy,  but consistent.
4 Skippers turned up to take part in a very frustrating afternoon. Both David and Ed quickly mastered the available ‘draft’ and both went on the take the ‘honors’.  Despite the overall scores, the finishes where very close. With these sort of conditions, one error or misjudgment, and you will come second.
As usual with the AC15’s, we always finish with a few fleet races
