Winter Series AC15 Day 5 Results

Sunday November 5 we staged Day 5 of the Winter Series  AC15 Match Racing. And what a day.  4 boats arrived to be greeted with a real northerly buster- It was about the worst we have seen for a long time. It is not very often that we had to resort to the ‘C’ rigs , but this was one of those days.
Ed was the first to pull out -not quite sure why,  Ron was the next to flag it away, with a badly bent rudder push rod.  So David and Darrell decided to ‘give it a go’. Darrell was really ‘on song ‘ for a change, and appeared to really get to grips with the heavy gusts. We managed to run 4 flights with just the 2  boats, and it was during the fifth flight, that David started having electrical problems, so flagged it away. Overall a very trying day.
