IOM Summer Series Day 1 Results
This years racing started on Sunday Jan 21 at Whitby Lake on a cloudy but very humid day, with a very steady northerly breeze. The event was Day 1 of the Summer Series IOM Fleet Racing. There was a good turn out of 8 very anxious skippers; a good size Fleet, despite there being a few skippers still enjoying their well earned vacation.
Very early on in the event ,we saw Mike take a predominate lead, from the first race together with Chris Harmer (a visitor from the Kapiti Club). Les is slowly making progress with his skills. Over all, the racing was very close as the points show. Darrell was the Race Officer for the event (replacing John).
