Day 3 Summer Series AC15 Match Racing

Sunday April 1 we staged Day 3 of the Summer Series AC15 Match Racing. The conditions that greeted the skippers was, sunny, with a good northerly breeze with variable pressure. David van der Plas passed on his apologies for his absence, and Ed. arrived with the intention of sailing, but his boat is still plagued with electrical problems, so he pulled out. So that left Ron and Darrell to battle it out. We decided on 7 races, rather than the 6 scheduled, with the intention of providing a clear winner.
There was nothing between the boats in performance, in as much, miss a shift in the breeze, and you come in second. The lead changed several times each race, because the breeze tended to be quite shifty.
The updated series results show that both Ron and Darrell are currently leading the series with 37 points.Anything could happen over the remaining 3 day racing.
