AC15 Match Racing Day 4 – Results

The AC15 Match Racing held Sunday April 29, scheduled to be held at Whitby Lake, was transferred to the Seaview Marina. It was not a very pleasant day- it was very consistent showers in the morning with no wind at all, and knowing that any ‘air movement’ at the Whitby Lake was likely to be extremely flukey, we decided to transfer to Seaview, with the hope that a better wind would prevail. By the time the start time came, a fairly steady cool southerly arrived, and the rain cleared for us, although it did return for about an hour during the afternoon. Brett Linton and his son arrived for the start, both with AC15’s, so we had 6 AC15’s to contend with, Brett did exceptionally well by winning all of his races, and coming first for the day (well done Brett). Both Darrell and David had troubles with their rigging, concequently neither did any good overall. Ron had troubles with his rudder servo, so, Ed and Brett and his son were the only ones to have a clear run today. Despite that, all the racing was very close. You will see on the series results page that with today’s results on hand,  Darrell still retains a very narrow lead. Ron could change this before the end of the series
