Summer Series All Class H/C – Final
Sunday 10 June we staged the final day of the Summer Series All Class Handicap at Whitby Lake. The conditions on the lake were very good, a steady light northerly and nice and warm. These conditions did not last long, the northerly became very irregular, and by the time the last 2 races came around the wind had all but disappeared. David and Bruce had to pull out of the last 2 races. A very trying day’s sailing, but a good exercise in patience. The lead changed quite often during each race,
with Ed showing the rest of the skippers ‘how it’s done’. Ed took the honors for the day, and John won the series—-well done both of you.
