All Class Handicap Summer Series Day 5 Results
The event staged Sunday May 12 was, Day 5 of the Summer Series All Class
Handicap, and the venue was Whitby Lake. The promised conditions where ‘cloudy with a promise of heavy rain and strong wind. The ‘A’ rig conditions gradually decreased as the afternoon moved on. 2 skippers elected for the ‘A” rig but the rest went with the ‘B’ rig in anticipation of the strong winds which eventuated during the last 2 races. The rain kept off, until after the finish. Great to see Dave (V5) giving Ed (V8) a run for his money–both ended up with the same points at first placing, followed closely by Wayne. Well done to you three. Quite a trying afternoon, as usual for Whitby, some winds can be very unpredictable and shifty.
