IOM Autumn Regatta held Whitby Lake

Sunday 16th June – Today we held the Autumn IOM Regatta at Whitby Lake with conditions
that were ‘straight out of the box’–a light northerly with the odd
gust. The gusts weren’t quite ‘B’ rig so the majority of skippers went
for the ‘A’ rig.  Dave was up to his normal standard, by winning all bar
1 race followed  by Bruce who took second place— both boats were V5’s.
Wayne looks as if he is really getting to grips with his boat by taking
4th position. Couple of new skippers in attendance today,  I’m sure
that’ time on the water’ will improve their abilities. It was really a
thrill to see so many boats on the water with so many new members. A
really great event.
