Day 1 of the Winter Series Handicap,  at Seaview Marina – 7th July 2019

From Sunday 7th July

The conditions where totally un-expected – a complete reversal of the weather we suffered during the past week. Only 5 skippers attended, with Rod having to drop out during the first lap with winch drum problems. Great to see Hans making progress with his V5. Ed and Darrell had some great tussles with Darrell eventually taking a win for the day. The more experienced skippers elected the ‘A’ rig while Hans elected the ‘B’ rig , which was just as well, as the gusts in the first 2 or 3 races would have been too heavy for him to handle.’
